Funny cartoons and impact on our childhood

Well I can’t really remember since when I started watching cartoons to either pass my time while I was eating food that my mom gave me or while I was sleeping and someone would put on Tom and Jerry for me so that I would have sweet dreams.

Cartoons comic books and funny cartoon for kids have been an integral part of my life as far as I can remember I have been indulged in watching cartoons as an entertainment since I was 2 years old; atleast that is what my mom told me.

Well every one of us has a story of their own when it comes to cartoons and they all have a nostalgic feeling attached to it(Oh when I look at my closet I still have all those cartoon printed t shirts from my childhood days.) thus making it a very emotional part of our life. To start with what we used to watch on our televisions and the story about how I have been watching and what I have been watching is something I understand is of a personal preference, some of us as kids liked the “Thomas the Engine” as it was a personification of a railway engine in the form of a living and talking thing which gave us all an imagination of our own over how we were looking at the reality over how things really were around us.

Then there was “Tom and Jerry” my personal favourite. The thought of a clever mouse and a determined cat was brilliant, it kept me occupied for hours while my parents could actually have some time of their own (I now realize that fact that once you have kids, we become so occupied with our life that nothing is same again.) Coming back to the topic, the personification of cat and little mouse was such an inspiration to me that it almost changed the way I look at animals and the way I think when I actually look at another living being.

Coming on to a little serious note funny cartoons for kids are something which taught us all about how life goes on and that every living thing or rather everything has a value attached to it, non-living objects such as Steam Engines are examples of mechanical innovations and they prove that even something mechanical has feelings and they will serve you better if you will take care of them and use them properly; this is a property which most of us are losing with time as our age progresses and we enter the realm of Adult hood, everything which we used to see from the creative eyes of children now become still and emotionless objects with an expiry date.
